Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa

I stayed at the Presidential Suites which had a really nice setup if you get a 2 bedroom suite BUT they need to make updates. There was a horrible mildew/sewage smell in our rooms that got worse by the day. The mosquitoes are trechorus and they seem to nest in the damp patio furniture, eventually making it into the room. Depending on what level of access you pay for, the beaches are awesome! I love how it's truly ALL inclusive with exception to high end restaurants. You don't have to pay extra for Cabanas, it's first come first serve, and there's a staff tending to your food and drink requests at no extra cost. They could use a better selection of wine and spirits. The restaurants are decent for an all inclusive resort. I had a nice time but I probably wouldn't return because of my expectations when it comes to accommodations. Their setup truly has the potential to be something great for all guests but I think right now their focus is the individuals who invest as owners or share holders.

Once again the beaches here in Puerto Plata aren't the greatest. Punta Cana are more Caribbean, here they're more Atlantic-like the amenities at the VIP Beaches are terrific.if you come by RCI the accommodations can be terrible and the buffets are all the same.definitely upgrade if possible

This resort is full scammers. Workers follow you to upgrade to VIP plans. Annoying. Drinks are not natural. All artificial. Pina Colada doesnt taste nothing like a pina colada. Workers are nice, but not friendly. The beach has a lot of seaweed.

We found a bed bug in our bed and they didn't seem to care. Some of the guests can be unruly, annoying, and loud. The buffet food was ok.breakfast was $30/plate, lunch was $40/plate, and dinner was $50/plate. You could get all inclusive for $82/person, per day. It was $60 for the week for wi-fi for one device and it was slow AF! Half of the staff here are annoying and dicks and the other half is cool. Everyone has their hand out for something here. This would not be my first choice when visiting D. R.

The people here make this place the best! The Tennis instructor Lilo at the Tropicana is a must. Brush up on your game with a professional, and he is cute to boot! A self contained city within a city. You want for nothing!

Very nice property. Be prepared for a sales pitch, but very attractive place. Great people and nice staff.

I recently stayed here from April 16-22 for a girls trip. We booked our all inclusive vacation through Sunwing. Our flight was delayed 24 hours due to the ice storm we got in Toronto. The resort is quite big as it consists of The Tropical Side and Confresi Palm Side. We were on The Tropical side. It has 6 buildings, 3 of which are renovated (2,5 & 6). If you can upgrade, I suggest that you do! Building 2 is closest to the lobby and buffet. Buildings 5 & 6 are closest to the pools and VIP Beach. My bestfriend and I were in building 2 (2011) on the ground floor. Our room was clean and spacious. We had 2 double beds. The shower and toilet were closed in by frosted glass windows. It looks very nice but you could see each other having a shower or sitting on the toilet! Our friends were in building 5 (5317) on the 3rd floor. They had a king size bed in their room with the same layout of the washroom. There is one buffet on The Tropical side (Casablanca). The food for the most part was good. They had a good variety of foods to choose from. The only snack bar is at the VIP Beach. Unfortunately They don't allow you to bring food to the pool area. There is also a sushi bar there as well. There are about 7 to 8 a la cartes you can choose from between the two resorts. We went to the Brazilian, Italian & Seafood. I really enjoyed the Brazllian and Seafood. The Italian wasn't the greatest as our pasta was swimming in pasta sauce! We spent most of our time at the VIP Beach. They have beds instead of lounge chairs. If you want a bed in the shade or a good spot, you have to go early to reserve one! We always got to the beach by 9 and for the first couple of days, couldn't get a bed in a shaded area. They got taken up very quickly. The pool area has lounge chairs but all we're always taken. By the late afternoon, you could find a chair but in the morning, good luck! If you're looking to go to the disco, Ice Lounge is on the Cofresi Palm side. You will need to take a shuttle bus. It's free and it takes you all around both resorts. Overall, we had a wonderful time on our trip and I will definately be coming back again!

P. S. BEWARE OF THE SALES AGENT TRYING TO SELL YOU TIME SHARES OR A PHONE CALL SAYING THEY HAVE A WELCOME PACKAGE FOR YOU! A POLITE "NO THANKS" WILL USUALLY DO THE TRICK. THEY TEND TO HANGOUT BY THE BUFFET TO GET YOU TO DO A TOUR! WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH THEM!

This hotel will completely scam you out of your money. The day we were leaving, we checked out and they cut off our bracelets then we went about our day and was approached by staff saying that never checked out and we would have to pay for the bracelets. After we explained that we did, we were still being accused and were actually refused to be let on to our shuttle to catch our flight. We asked to speak to the manager three times and were denied each time and we urged them to watch their security footage. I don't understand what use they think we have for some cut off plastic bracelets. After being treated so poorly and feeling like I was completely backed into a corner, I ended up paying so we didn't miss our flight and have to pay even more. After originally being told it would cost $400US for the bracelets, it was a bit of a shock when they charged me $600US (which is the same amount that I paid for the entire trip itself). I spoke to many people after this incident and they said they were scammed as well. It completely ruined my entire vacation. I would never stay at this chain of hotels/resorts again.

I stayed in lifestyle resort for 3 days, worst place ever, after I paid so much money for me and my wife, we was limite to go to certain sections of the resort. After they told us, everything is include when we got there it was a different story. You even have to pay for WIFI connection because there is barley WIFI and only in certain section of the resort. One of the Bar tender, last name Hernandez was very rude when my wife just ask him a simple question “ do you guys play music here”, and he said
“does this look like a club to you or a Bar! ”
We was very shocked, surprised and felt disrespected. Then we told him, “yesterday you guys was playing music”. The next day I went to customer service filed a complaint.

The horseback riding was very cool and very buggy And 4 weelers was also Fun The beach and the bad by the beach was very relaxing but I give this resort a 4 from 1-10 the Food was not too bad but if we wanted to attend at other restaurant we have to make reservations that we also attended to do but it was bad already my 9: 00am. There is barley security walking around this huge resort, and there is a lot of guys/ perverts. A Friday night I went to the nightclub with my wife at about 12 o’clock midnight and there was like 100 guys and only about 20 girls. Most of the guys was being very aggressive with the girls me And my wife felt very uncomfortable and and to a shutter back to the our room.

Really enjoyed our vacation here but we were guests of a share holder so we got the best experience possible out of this
