Hotel Be Live Marien

The resort is kind of dated. However the staff are beyond wonderful and accommodating. You get more then yours money's worth in terms of overall experience, the views are breathe taking

The hotel was great. Staff were friendly and spoke English well. The bartenders were amazing. Our travel representative didn't go over some safety issues including the flag system (green flag: go swimming, yellow flag: swim with caution and must be with an adult, red flag: don't go swimming) & where you are and are not allowed to walk on the beach. Our room was nothing to special but really it was only a place to lay our heads at night. We paid for a ocean view room which we we're happy about. The view outward was stunning. The pool was huge with lots of space, although to get a lounger you have to go early or later in the day. There is NO swim up bar either.

Food wasn't the best but was still always able to find something to eat. Only have three restaurants (Mexican, Brazilian & Mediterranean) of which the Brazilian & Mediterranean we're absolutely delicious. Mediterranean does have a dress code for men and will refuse to seat you if you are wearing shorts. This is NOT an adults only resort so there is a disco and a live show (runs until 11pm) to entertain visitors after dinner. I didn't enjoy all the bartering to get down to a price that the item should've been. $1000 DR Pasos is $20 USD. They use the conversation of 50.

We did two excursions while there which I recommend as well. Catamaran & TerraCross. The Catamaran we were picked up just after 8 and dropped back off at 3pm. You snorkelled in two different locations, then after lunch and the bar opened and we sailed to another spot on the island. Lots of people got sea sick however. The TerraCross was alot of fun. Got a lot dirtier than initially expected. If you go make sure you take a swim suit and clothing that can get dirty (haven't gotten the mud stain out of my shirt yet).

We overall truly enjoyed ourselves. Would go back to the DR again but probably not go back to this particular resort.

The hotel surrounding are nice but run down in need of improvement, the beach is spectacular you can walk for hours, unfortunately we had cockroaches in our room, the place was very loud especially building 3 and 4 so if you like to party that's the place for you, but a lot of people complain and called the security in the middle of the night. I am giving the resort 3 stars only for people working hard in restaurants and servers (they were amazing and very helpful) otherwise I would give only 1.

Not a very updated resort, rather murky rooms, service poor, food slightly better than cardboard. Free cocktails 24 hrs only plus. Entertainment poor. Will not visit again

Fue una exeperiencia muy agradable, es un hotel 5 estrellas ubicado en Puerto Plata y tiene un buen servicio y alojamiento.

Nice beautiful ressort. Nice staff. Ok buffet, needs To have Warmer plates. Mexican restaurant is awesome.

Buen cuidado el lugar pero deberían mejorar la atención a las personas y la vista es excelente. La variedad de La comida es pobre en el buffet y necesita más sabor. El restaurant de la playa no estaba abierto.

Nice hotel, food is good, beach sand is great. Just the sea water is not clear, difficult to see fish while snorkeling.

Maravilloso lugar para vacacionar, buena comida, muchas actividades para entretenerse, shows cada noche, pool bar ilimitado, y a los pies de una playa hermosa.

Renovierungsbedürftig! Während des Aufenthaltes wurden Zimmer "ausgenebelt". Man gibt sich Mühe, Personal freundlich aber unterbezahlt, schaffen oft über 15Std

Todo estuvo bastante bien. Deberían mejorar el modo en que cambian las toallas de las habitaciones. Se las llevan al hacer la habitación y te las llevan por la tarde. Si vienes de la playa y te duchas para comer no tienes toalla para secarte. Se deben reponer en el momento que se recogen.

The on look y thing good about this place was it was warm and the views and area were beautiful. The service, food and overall hotel was not good. Low quality and run down. Clean. It needs more staff. Took over 20 min to get a drink at the bar by the pools. And had to ask for silverware always at the buffet. I travel once or twice a year and dont expect perfection but trust me when I say I wouldn't reccomend them.

Un Resort de 4 estrellas en el mismo corazón de Puerto Plata, la Comida muy buena, el Restaurante Brasileño excelente, la piscina excelente, el personal muy bueno salvo algunas excepciones (algunas chicas del check in, con actitudes dejando mucho que desear), las habitaciones normalitas, deben modernizarlas, el servicio a las habitaciones regular, las actividades muy entretenidas!

Good resort, a little lacking in entertainment if that is what you are looking for. For us we wanted to relax, eat, and be close to the beach and this placed offered it. Rooms are fairly dated and could use a refresh.

Muy buenas atenciones y excelente la comida, especialmente el del restaurante Mylos (mediterráneo). Buenas habitaciones y piscina.

That resort is not like pictures show, the rooms are dirty and the hotel have a big problem with humidity, mold and smell horrible, the cleaning is not too deep i have to say please change the towels, please leave some water, please change the bathroom curtain it smell very bad.i know some people does not care about it but all this things can cause disease.we got sick diarrhea and colic also we saw some cockroaches in the buffet, the smell of cigarettes is everywhere the hotel does not have a specific area for smokers that is really annoying the entertainment was boring and with very low quality also the chairs are old and some are broken.we made horse ride, buggies and some on the staff call us stupid tourists in Spanish the bus was in bad state.we are frequent travelers this is the first bad experience with the flight and the hotel Be collection Marien it must be 2 stars.some friends spoke to us for the bad experience but in punta cana with Be collection marien but we live our own experience in Puerto plata. The place is beautiful just the facilities have a really bad administration. Thanks

Plage pas terrible. Très long à résoudre les problèmes. Essaye sans cesse de vous entuber. Avons du changer de chambre 2 fois après s'être énervé contre le responsable de l'accueil me disant que je manquais d'éducation après avoir patienter plus d'une heure dans une chambre avec 3 cm d'eau.

Le pire hotel au je suis allé dans ma vie. Cet hotel est sale et Vieux. Il disent être un 5 étoiles mais il n'arrive pas à être même pas 2. La nourriture pas bonne a cette endroit.
