Fui a este hotel spa y es de los mismos dueños de Gran ventana y VR. La comida exquisita y la atención de 1era. Lo amo!

Really beautiful place! Stunning view and relaxing. Food was good and staff was really friendly. They have a really nice pool and hot tub.

Only downside is that everywhere you go you are constantly interrogated and have to prove that you are staying here. Was walking around and stopped numerous times to confirm that I was staying here. Apparently showing your room key isn’t enough either, cause they still won’t believe you lol. Management needs to do a better job of making their guests feel welcome (I don't know, maybe give people a bracelet or something so that its easy to tell who is staying here or not?)

It really is a nice place so its really unfortunate that my experience was ruined by that. Especially considering the amount that you pay to stay here.

I was fortunate to stay here last minute with work. Simply a stunning property from the moment you walk-in. The staff were so friendly and kind. I even had the chance to meet the owner (I believe) when checking in which was a very nice touch. This place is classy and beautifully maintained. I stay in many hotels around the world and this was a stay to remember in all the right ways.

Hôtel de charme exceptionnel par son architecture, son emplacement, sa plage et sa décoration.

Rien a dire tout est parfait: des transats toujours libres que ce soit à la piscine ou à la plage, des jacuzzi toujours chaud bouillants, une vue à couper le souffle, des petits déjeuners copieux et de qualité, une chambre impeccable. Bref: nous reviendrons car c’est assez rare de trouver une petite perle comme cet hôtel en dehors des « tout inclus » que nous détestons avec 1000 chambre.

Un bravo tout particulier durant ces 6 jours à Dervis et son sourire toujours présent de notre arrivé à notre départ,

From end to end it was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The rooms and areas are grand and incredibly well kept. The staff is beyond accomodating and extremely accessible. The beach view is breathtaking and the proximity is steps away from the hotel /spa. Every meal we had was unbelievable and the massages made my lower back feel new again.
We are writing this review from another hotel in a different location in the DR and we would head back there now if we didn't have additional travel commitments haha.

Treat yourself to this amazing stay as the prices are beyond reasonable for this type of memorable experience.

Excelente servicio, personal amable y disponible en cada momento, habitación siempre limpia, áreas comunes de ensueño, un paraíso en la tierra, perfecto para una escapada. El lugar es perfecto para relajarse, meditar, y tener un contacto cercano con la naturaleza en una espacio premium, con cuidado en cada detalle. Arquitectura y ambientación exquisita. Totalmente recomendado.

This hotel was beyond amazing. From the minute we walked in, to the minute we departed So much detail in the architecture the scenery and the entire staff was on point. The service was beyond amazing. The food, the location. They accommodate our every needs. Thank you so much.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. Rooms are well kept and the views are stunning. However if you want to have a good time, avoid this place. It’s more of a retreat than a hotel. Some staff members (including the owner) shush you if you speak higher than a library volume. The owner asked us if we would perhaps be more comfortable in the hotel next door indicating that we weren’t the class of people she wanted at the hotel. Dinner at Lucia wasn’t too great either. We ended up going to another restaurant nearby the next night that was way better. Other than that the hotel is very nice including the beach and pool. The rest of the staff were also very nice including the bellhop. Recommended age group for this hotel is 65+.

Los empleados muy atentos y amables.los jardines, restaurantes, habitaciones y todas las áreas en general muy bien cuidadas. Altamente recomendado para pasar tiempo de relajación. Nos sentíamos tan a gusto que decidimos extender nuestras vacaciones en el hotel de 3 días a una semana.

This place is a must stay for this area. It is small, gorgeous, and the customer service is top notch with some of the kindest people you could hope to find. Highly recommend.
You cannot beat the rooftop pool and beach area.

From the moment you arrived, you are welcomed with a smile and professionalism.
The decor and art is stunning.
We stayed in the Junior Suite Lanai with Ocean Front and our room was cleaned and smelled so good there was even a fruit basket to welcome us and the view from our room was stunning.
The pool area is very nice and something different.
We went to several resorts in the Dominican and went to every Spa to get a couple massage BUT Bagua Spa is the BEST we ever experienced- well done to the ladies!
We look forward to come back and stay longer.

We stayed at this amazing property for three nights and it was a wonderful experience! No, there is not much to do, but listening to the sounds of nature, soaking in the sunshine, walking miles of empty beaches and only sharing the beauty with only a few other lucky people was therapy of the best kind!
The hotel itself is beautiful with a very inviting lobby, comfortable rooms, and a balcony which we loved. The staff was engaging and gracious thru out our stay, and very nice to our little 10 month old son.
The area as a whole is still almost completely shut down due to Covid, for example, the nearby two story mall had only two stores open. But everyone we saw wore a mask and was conscientious. You are pretty much limited to the hotel for food and to the beach for entertainment, but for our three days we couldn't have asked for more! The only place I am going to knock them is the laundry service is pure extortion! $7 to wash a pair of mens shorts is crazy, as is $8 for a T shirt. There are no other options, so be prepared. We spent $60 to wash one day's worth of laundry- ridiculous!
So in summary: It really is a special place to spend a few days. A week might be a little long due to the lack of options, but in today's world, this is an amazing opportunity to live a few dreamy days. Not cheap, but value for money, and worth every penny

Es uno de los hoteles más lindos de República Dominicana, ofrece unas instalaciones que invitan al descanso y relajación.
Tiene amplias áreas comunes con jardines, piscina, jacuzzi, restaurantes, áreas de descanso, entre otras.
Tiene un frente de playa grande y muy agradable.

The rooms are very comfortable and nice. The beach front is excellent; large, zero rocks, little seaweed. The Playa Dorada complex is great, so you're not stuck eating at Casa Colonial all meals. The breakfast and lunch at the hotel are okay, not great but not bad. The dinner restaurant is very good, again not great. The rooftop pool has a row of jacuzzies with a beautiful view and a great breeze, probably the best part about the hotel besides the beach. Great if you can get a deal, not sure I'd say it's worth it full price.

There are no words! This is a sanctuary in Dominican Republic. Right on the ocean, yet filled with lush greenery. The decor is neutral and peaceful. The people are warm and hospitable! Feels like an oasis retreat! Highly recommend although on the pricier side.but worth it!

Pedí cuenta con valor fiscal y nunca la hicieron. Llamé muchas veces siempre preguntando lo mismo y siempre contestan lo mismo. ”informaremos la gerente y enviaremos factura por correo”. No es la primera vez que pasa esto.la excusa del sistema que no funciona cuando se pide cuenta con comprobante, ya no sirve más. La DGII tiene una app para ser informada sobre asuntos similares y lo haré pronto. Lo siento porque es un lugar muy decente, pero nunca volveré.

This was one of the prettiest hotel we have ever stayed at for a beach trip. The grounds were so lovely, the hotel impeccable. We found the staff so helpful and friendly. The Dominican Republic is a undiscovered treasure.
