Casa Colonial Beach & Spa

Este hotel ha sido absolutamente increíble. Desde el momento en que llegamos hasta que nos quedamos aquí, nos sentimos bien atendidos. La comida es excelente, el personal es servicial y amable y la vista es fuera de este mundo. ¡Estamos pasando un tiempo increíble y recomendaríamos este hotel a cualquiera!

Así es como sabes que este lugar es increíble. Cuando llegamos había un frutero fresco en nuestra habitación. 4 días después de nuestra estadía, el plátano, que se había estado poniendo un poco marrón, de repente desapareció. El resto de la fruta quedó.

Le pregunté a mi amiga si se había comido el plátano. Ella dijo que no. Fue entonces cuando nos dimos cuenta de que la criada tenía tanta atención al detalle que se dio cuenta de que, en el fondo del cuenco, había un trozo de fruta podrida y nos lo sacó.

Esto es indicativo del extraordinario nivel de pensamiento en toda esta propiedad. Cada miembro del personal se sintió como un amigo inmediato (y no hablo español) y todas las necesidades fueron atendidas de inmediato.

La piscina estaba casi vacía cuando la visitamos, no es necesario "guardar una silla", las vistas son increíbles y, lo más importante, *¡no hay música al aire libre! * Puedes escuchar las olas, los pájaros y tu conversación.

Este *no* es un lugar de fiesta. Traiga esa energía relajante y deje que el estrés desaparezca. Es pequeño, 50 habitaciones, una piscina, 4 jacuzzis, un tramo de playa, dos restaurantes (uno para desayuno y almuerzo, otro para cena) y es increíble. Ve ahora.

Increíble hotel boutique ubicado entre la playa y la jungla circundante. Se siente como un oasis privado. Las suites son lujosas como debería ser y el personal es discreto pero está inmediatamente disponible para cualquier necesidad. Es un ambiente muy relajante y el spa se suma a los mimos.

No nos alojamos en este hotel pero paramos a comer en el restaurante y lo pasamos muy bien. ¡El personal fue muy acogedor y el ambiente estaba en otro nivel! Tan elegante y pacífico. La comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa. Ofrecen platos para todas las dietas: ¡carne, vegetariana y vegana!

Este hotel es mi favorito es Playa Dorada.

Sus habitaciones son muy bonitas y la vista es preciosa.
El personal es muy profesional brindando un increíble servicio al cliente.
Tienen estacionamiento.

Su comida es excelente y sabrosa.
Tienen un jardín muy bonito, caminé y contemplé la naturaleza que es lo que busco antes de reservar cualquier lugar.
La playa es muy buena.

¡Nos encantó absolutamente todo sobre este complejo! La comida era gourmet y deliciosa, el servicio fue increíble y agradable, y nuestra experiencia en general fue verdaderamente memorable y excepcional. Todos los que trabajaron allí fueron muy amables y considerados, y todos constantemente hicieron todo lo posible para hacernos sentir especiales y cómodos. Disfrutamos de la piscina, la playa, el spa y nuestra habitación. También disfrutamos del servicio a la habitación y bebidas maravillosas junto a la playa y la piscina. Estábamos tan tristes cuando llegó el momento de irnos. ¡Estamos ansiosos por volver y definitivamente recomendamos venir aquí!

El servicio fue excepcional. La ubicación es absolutamente hermosa y los aperitivos y la comida fueron increíbles.
Tuvimos suerte porque tenía la intención de ir a un restaurante diferente esa noche, pero no me di cuenta de que la mayoría de los lugares están cerrados los lunes. Lucía estaba abierta y me arriesgué y no podría haber estado más complacido.

Mi esposa Natalie y yo nos alojamos en el CC por 5 noches, era nuestra primera vez aquí. El conserje y el personal de reservas fueron increíblemente serviciales antes de que llegáramos allí: confirmaron nuestra reserva y organizaron un servicio de recogida en taxi en el aeropuerto.

Durante nuestro tiempo en el hotel, todo el personal fue realmente amable y servicial. Todas las comidas eran deliciosas. Un agradecimiento especial a Ellis S, el barman de la piscina, que nos preparó fantásticos cócteles y fue muy cálido y acogedor.

La playa y el océano están a unos pasos del hotel. Después de unos días nos dimos cuenta de que el mejor lugar para sentarse era en la cabaña cubierta al aire libre en el lado este de la propiedad (al sentarnos allí pudimos evitar al molesto vendedor ocasional en la playa).

El hotel en sí es precioso, al igual que el paisaje tropical. También es tranquilo y está libre de las molestias habituales de los complejos turísticos.

En general, es un lugar encantador con gente amable en un hermoso tramo de playa.

Me encanta la serie Small Luxury Hotel de Hyatt y he estado en varias, pero esta fue, con diferencia, la experiencia más completa. El personal fue atento, amable y proactivo. Todos tenían una sonrisa GENUINA y nos hicieron sentir especiales desde la puerta principal hasta nuestro servicio en la playa. Cada camarero, cantinero, miembro del personal de limpieza y trabajador de mantenimiento nos hizo sentir especiales y bienvenidos. Nunca vuelvo a un lugar, demasiados lugares para visitar en una vida corta, pero actualmente estamos encontrando tiempo para visitar Casa Colonial nuevamente antes del final del verano. Tan pacífico y sereno. Odio no recordar los nombres de todos, pero Eduardo, Rosa y Teresa nos hicieron sentir especiales. Odio nombrar solo algunos considerando que TODOS fueron geniales. A mi esposa no le gusta viajar, normalmente hay que arrastrarla, pero está presionando para otro viaje a Casa Colonial. Visitamos del 11 al 16 de mayo. Simplemente vaya, experimente lo que hicimos y lo apreciará para siempre.

We stayed for four nights in March 2023. Casa Colonial felt like a private oasis in the resort area in Puerto Plata. They did a great job keeping the beach clean. The drinks and food were all very reasonably priced. The room service was tidy. The lamb and goat mofongo were my favorite dishes, highly recommend. The best part of the stay was the exclusivity we felt. We never felt the need to get up early to save seats, and sometimes we found ourselves the only ones at the beach or pool. It almost felt like our own private resort. We will be back!

Lisette was a pleasure and made us feel very welcomed. Rafael and Nelson kept us full and cheerful for dinner. And the young man with short curly hair who kept saying "I work for you" seemed omnipresent at the beach and for breakfast. Thanks for making the stay wonderful!

We absolutely loved it here - welcoming, attentive service, beautiful nature, peaceful atmosphere, lovely rooms, and great food. The spa was fantastic, we especially enjoyed the massages and the dry sauna.
The bed was too bouncy, but otherwise everything was perfect.

The garden is well tended, lush, with beautiful orchids and singing birds. The ocean is just steps away, and the beach was never crowded. The water was warm and pleasant to swim in. We could see and hear the ocean from our room which was very nice. There was a big bathtub that easily fit 2. The food was great, we especially liked the roasted meat in chocolate sauce for dinner (it's not sweet at all, just delicious).

The spa was a highlight for us, the dry sauna gets quite hot if you want, and has a bucket with water you can use to boost the heat and humidity, we love that. We also got a couples massage which was great, very relaxing.

The only thing I would suggest improving is the mattress. We found it a little too firm, but more importantly it was bouncy enough that we would wake each other sometimes.

Overall, we would definitely come back here. Highly recommend.

P.s. We rented a car and drove to and from the airport and Sosua, the road here is really good (a few big pot holes to watch out for but they are easy to see even at night.driving an SUV helps), it is well lit at night, and felt quite safe. Lots of parking at the hotel.

Also, there is a shopping area a 5min walk away where you can buy sunscreen, swimsuit, pharmacy, etc. Kinda pricey, but very helpful.

If your are looking for an absolutely magical place to relax and enjoy yourself look no further this is it. The amazing pool, spa, and completely majestic beach. Wonderful staff at your beck and call. The restaurant is out of this world amazing, even if you are not staying there I would recommend stopping by and let them dazzle your taste buds. The room service is the fastest I’ve ever seen. Everything about this experience was excellent. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt the need to share this gem with others.

Solo paramos para desayunar y pasar un rato en la playa, pero este lugar era impresionante y muy tranquilo. El suelo es exuberante y la decoración es preciosa. La comida estaba deliciosa también. Absolutamente recomendable.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The hotel is serene and peaceful, and it was a very relaxing experience. The service was also excellent.

The spa greatly exceeded my expectations, and had an excellent Finnish style Sauna with bucket and ladle. This Sauna could get quite hot, which was very nice (at far too many places, the Sauna's do not get hot enough).

The only area of improvement would be the mattress. The bed was a bit too firm on my shoulder, and a bit too bouncy. If my partner would roll over at night, it could wake me up, and vice-versa.

Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel, and when going to Puerto Plata, I would return here.

What a hidden gem! My partner is from Puerto Plata, but he didn’t even knew about Casa Colonial. Driving through the gates and walking in the reception it felt as luxurious and refined as in Four Seasons. The restaurant wasn’t busy, just a few tables but I didn’t care much. Food and service were great, after a bottle of champagne and red wine, we sat outside and enjoyed a few cocktails. 5* and see you soon!

The Casa Colonial is a hidden luxury boutique with only 50 rooms. If you are looking for a 5 star quiet vacation in peace and tranquillity than I would recommend you book. The staff and the spa is a five star experience. The food was just as delicious as my last stay 5 years ago. The family owners are very involved in the hotel day by day to assure your stay is up to their personal standards.
I could go on and on but it is such a break from a island destination vacation that is packed with tourist.

Beautiful and private hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. Spa services are excellent with clean and comfortable facilities. Located within the security of the Playa Dorado complex. Beautiful beach with easy access to reef for interesting snorkeling.

We enjoyed our stay in this little gem. The location - 9, the room cleanliness- 9, staff friendliness - 9.
