My wife Aleksandra and I had a difficult time finding an agent in the DR until we met James. He responded immediately to our questions, gave us detailed descriptions of properties and the surrounding areas and once we booked our flight and finally met with him, we knew that we made the right decision.
James showed us all the properties we requested and gave us the pros and cons, and financials, plus he knew alot of the inside information that was not publicly known. We were able to make an informed decision and purchased a condo on the beach in Cabarete and once we came back to Canada we also decided to buy a vacant lot in Las Canas.
James helped us through the entire process and we used the lawyer recommended, Jenny Familia, she is awesome. James is now helping us to refurbish the condo we bought, we hired him as our on site Supervisor. He does it all.
Overall, I would highly recommend James as your agent once you have made the decision to invest in the DR.

We were so fortunate to find James when we started searching for property in Cabarete. We knew immediately that we were in good hands. Being a realtor myself in the States, I know what it takes and what it means to help buyers find the right home. James was there every step of the way, guiding us, advising us and supporting us. James quickly figured out what we were looking for and was able to take us to the appropriate properties. When we fell in love with one particular condo complex but there were no units for sale, he found an owner willing to sell. Having to head back to the States, James handled the transaction from start to finish and we successfully closed on the prefect property. James has become a great friend in the process and we feel so fortunate to have met him!

I recently visited Cabarete on a holiday also with the purpose of scouting prospective properties for sale or rent upon my retirement. I was very fortunate to have been introduced to James Oosterman at Blue Sail Realty.

Professionalisms, On time, Efective and the end result was amazing. Not always easy to find in the DR!

We would like to give great accolades to James Oosterman of Blue Sail Realty. From the start of our quest to find our new home to the finish, James was there with open arms with any and all help possible. He patiently listens to you, makes a plan with your interests at front and center, then follows through always adjusting to meet your needs. There is no one out there of his caliper.
