Dominican Tree House Village

Mi estadía de tres noches aquí fue ciertamente única, pero desafortunadamente me dejó un poco decepcionado. Los alrededores eran exuberantes y verdes. Sin embargo, el aspecto de todo incluido de la estancia no pareció realizarse del todo. La propiedad solo proporciona desayuno y cena; debe abandonar el recinto para el almuerzo. La comida servida consistió en palomitas de maíz como aperitivo, una cena estilo buffet con opciones limitadas como plato principal y plátanos cubiertos de chocolate y tarta de fresas como postre. Además, el estado inicial de los baños no era limpio, y tanto las toallas como las sábanas tenían agujeros notorios. Vale la pena señalar que el check-in se realizó en el bar, por lo que no hubo una recepción de bienvenida tradicional. En general, la experiencia fue mediocre y hay mucho margen de mejora.

Bueno, me lo pasé bien. Hay cosas que la gente debería saber antes de irse. Quizás no sean factores decisivos, sino información. Es muy relajado. El check-in se realiza en el bar/restaurante en general.
Hay un código de wifi que hay que pagar pero al cuarto día descubrí que solo se lo dan a ciertos huéspedes sin pagar, no mola. No hay agua caliente, ni agua caliente para duchas ni nada. No es malo cuando siempre tienes calor, pero fue un ajuste. De alguna manera está libre de mosquitos, pero dormí con la luz encendida porque los insectos salen por la noche junto con las arañas. La comida era muy buena. Comes todas las comidas en el mismo lugar donde preparan la comida y es el check in y check out. Tienen bicicletas para alquilar para ir a la playa, pero las bicicletas son de 1960 y se estropean, así que no confiaría en eso en absoluto. Hice una excursión en vehículos de cuatro ruedas y monté a caballo y fue increíble porque básicamente recorre la ciudad en vehículos de cuatro ruedas y luego das un buen paseo a lomos de un caballo y terminas fuera de una cascada. ¿Me alegro de haber tenido la experiencia? Sí, no estoy seguro de qué lo hago de nuevo. El personal era algo amable pero no acogedor como pensé que serían especialmente en esas circunstancias. Se suponía que eran instructores de yoga, pero ella solo apareció el último día diciendo que estaba de vacaciones, por lo que nadie realmente creía que esa fuera la cuestión. ¡Obviamente primitivo pero fue una buena experiencia! Es posible que desees conseguir una habitación más arriba en la montaña para no escuchar la música del bar por la noche.

Muy buena estadía, excelente para conectarse con la naturaleza y desconectarse del estrés cotidiano.

This place is magical. The most unique, relaxing, beautiful experience to soothe and recharge your soul. Avatar-like jungle, pristine quiet beaches, and world class views.

I reserved the Jungle Hideaway Package which was $1450 for 4 nights/5 days but due to Hurricane Ian my flight was delayed so I had to book 2 extra nights which the hotel manager accommodated me on. Package was all inclusive breakfast and dinner (as well as they provided a voucher for free lunch each day at a cafe up the road) Bottomless rum and free zip-lining, usage of bikes, and full body massage. Resort is wifi-free so do understand this is a place to disconnect so you may connect with nature and yourself. Will vacation here again!

Lora, Angel, Alex & Mikey treated us very well. We loved our experience very much and the service was epic! Thank you all for a fabulous time! We hope to be back soon!

The Dominican Treehouse Village is a beautiful piece of paradise tucked in the jungle. This oasis is an eco friendly resort that is intimate with 22 treehouses that make you feel one with nature.
The beds are so comfortable! We had the best sleeps. You feel one with nature and both the food and the energy feed the soul. The food is amazing and made fresh every day. The staff are absolutely fantastic! A big shout out to Angel, Alex and Jose Antonio. They make you feel right at home. We enjoyed the best massages and the wonderful 10 minute bike ride to the most amazing beach we have ever been to.
I will mention l've been to Hawaii and Bali and this beach is better than both. The entertainment has a great variety and they also have an amazing fire lit at night where you can sit in a swing around the fire and enjoy. I just can't say enough about our stay and how happy I was to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful, serene surroundings.

Had a wonderful stay for my birthday, the staff, food and lodging were perfect. Was a bit of a trek to the area from the main airport but WELL worth it. Couldn't have asked for a better time. From the moment we walked up we were in awe of the location and of how welcoming everyone was. Highly recommend.

My stay at DTHV was spectacular. The relaxing chill vibes were just what I needed from my normal busy teacher life. The staff was incredible, including Alex and his fabulous drinks, both Angels, Laura, and the volunteers. Everyone was very welcoming and they couldnt do enough for my friend and I. Breakfast and dinner, which were both provided on site were homemade prepared with fresh fruits, vegetable, and protein. Non meat options were available daily. The ziplining excursion was spectacular. Definitely a must! The workers at the zip line were great, kept us safe, and even took pictures and videos. The massages at the resort are a must! They were only $10 for about 45 minutes and the girls were fabulous. The bikes that were available to ride to the beach were convenient and the beach was very chill. My favorite lunch spot was the Don P.one which was halfway between the beach and the resort. THANK YOU to everyone at the DTHV who made our stay one that we’ll never forget! See you soon again!

Birds will come in to wake us up, amazing view on Hut 22, Drinks by Alex and Angel are amazing. Dope food, atmosphere is disconnected from the world (perfect to reconnect), Massages are off the grid, Great staff, great getaway, amazing service & very family oriented. Best place we’ve been to on vacation & Honeymoon perfect spot. Thank you to Bart (owner) who shared days with us. Staff: Alex, Angel, Tata, Mikey, Jay Jay, Laura &Kervin at the zipline. Bring a flashlight for the night. Great transportation service by Tata, Pedro and Ruben…Laura is an amazing manager going up and Alex is a great host.

What a wonderful place. I went on a group retreat here and from beginning to end it was a phenomenal experience. The staff were incredible so warm and attentive. I have to give a special shout out to Laura (what a beautiful person!) and Mikey who educated us on all the plants and trees in the garden.
It was an experience like no other, completely natural and raw and an incredible opportunity to disconnect. The village itself is so beautiful and natural. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The food each day was incredible. I’m vegetarian and there was plenty to eat. The ladies who cook in the kitchen are magic! The food tastes natural and raw. Incredible fruits and selection.

I will say this however, ignore a lot of the negative feedback here. This is a trip like no other, it’s luxury, but natural luxury. You may find a frog in your shower, but that’s the price you pay for sleeping in these amazing open air treehouses. The area is totally safe, it’s underserved so the roads are a bit rough but the locals in the town and at the beach are very kind warm genuine people.

I really enjoyed my stay at Dominican Tree House Village. It was definitely a different experience from the known all inclusive resorts I am used to but, it is worth to try. I biked to the near by beach where locals made me feel welcomed. I played dominoes with the locals. The best part of the experience for me was the staff at DTHV. Angel, Alex and Mikey were fun and made my stay much more enjoyable. No mosquitos bit me which is a plus for me since I have a sweet blood for those.). Lots of birds singing at night (ALL NIGHT) so you may want to bring plugs for your ears. To me the sound was fascinating. Food was good but don't expect anything fancy or expensive. DTHV does not offer lunch but they will provide you with a voucher you can use to eat lunch at near by restaurants. I ate at the near by beach from a restaurant called "Ballena" (Not sure of the spelling). I didn't have to actually walk in to the restaurant because a representative was at the beach and brought over anything I asked for from the restaurant to me.

I booked a spontaneous 3 day getaway to decompress from NYC life for my partner and I, and little did I know that it would be our BEST vacation by far. The room we chose was overbooked so we were upgraded to VIP, and although it was a tiresome walk, the views were breathtaking. The staff, to name a few, Azrael, Angel, Alex, Senijah, and Sage, as well as all of the amazing people we met from around the world, were so friendly and fun to be around. It was relaxing and exhilarating all at once. The food was delicious, drinks were great, the ambience was indescribable. 10/10! I will most definitely return! ️

From the first moment I felt so welcome and relaxed. Loved the sounds of the nature, the plants and trees, the wonderful people, the yoga classes, the bonfire at night, the great cocktails at the bar, the food, the zip line excursion (amazing!), the free bicycles and rides to the great beach, the massages as well as the pretty necklaces etc from the little souvenir shop. Fully recommended for those who love nature and looking for something extraordinary. Inside the village there is no wifi wich i really enjoyed for online-detoxing reasons.

We had an excellent experience. They treated us special from start to end. Good service, good food and a magical adventure.

DTHV (Dominican tree house village) is an amazing experience. The road there may seem a bit “sketchy” & off-road but it is well worth the trip. Everything from the welcome drink to the “Eco” experience was great. Angel, the bartender/manager/DJ is the life of the party at DTHV. He will take care of you with great music, drinks, & tours. Jefferson (La luz) was our bike guide. He took us on the bicycles provided by DTHV through the city to the beautiful beach in “El Valle”. He made us feel safe with the locals & vendors. Emma’s was our favorite lunch spot. She cooked fresh & delicious meals everyday. Our experience at DTHV was very unique, as you will meet people from all over the world. It truly feels like a retreat with nature. Can’t wait to book our next trip & spend more time at DTHV.

Staying at the Dominican Treehouse village was a one of a kind experience in an absolutely beautiful jungle setting. I have never experienced anything this unique and authentic with any other vacation. The staff was incredible. Alex greeted us with smiles and frozen Pina Coladas upon arrival and spent a lot of time getting to know each of us throughout our stay and shared so much about his community and Dominican life. He made a huge impact on everyone. Angel and Alex went out of their way to create an unforgettable birthday party for my mom. Make sure to ask Angel for a flaming Tiki Tiki drink. Freddie made sure everyone was enjoying their stay and checked in several times throughout our visit. JJ was a great bartender and really fun part of the crew. The women in the kitchen were so accommodating to our special dietary requests and made us feel at home. I loved the open-air kitchen and the ability to watch the cooks prepare the meals. They worked so hard making homemade meals and fresh baked bread and we loved being able to watch the process and see all the fresh fruits and vegetables. We also really enjoyed the three lunch restaurant options (Emma’s, Don Piron and El Valle Beach) and enjoyed exploring El Valle on the electric scooters. We were spoiled with daily massages that were convenient to fit into our schedule and very affordable. The zip-line experience was a big highlight and the crew that ran it was amazing. I loved finding frogs and snails in the bathroom and listening to the sounds of the jungle. We enjoyed being able to open the curtains in our room, relax in the swings and soak in the atmosphere. You really are immersed in jungle life. Everything was wonderful! I just wish we had another day or two to explore more of the area. Can’t wait to go back next year!

I came here in August for a retreat (S/O to Sisters of Yoga!) & this place was absolutely amazing! The accommodations, the views, the activities, the people! I can’t say enough good things. By the end of my time there everyone felt like family. Thank you so much Alex, Freddy, & everyone for making this the experience of a lifetime! Hope to visit again very soon!
