Realizó un recorrido privado a Monkey Jungle desde el puerto de cruceros de Taino Bay. ¡Tuve un día fantástico! Reservar con antelación fue muy fácil. René respondió a todas mis preguntas. El conductor Edgar nos estaba esperando en la salida del puerto cuando llegamos. Lo pasé muy bien en Monkey Jungle y luego en el centro de Puerto Plata. Volver al envío después con mucho tiempo de sobra. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Me encanta el servicio personalizado que ofrece RV Tours. Pudimos elegir en qué actividades queríamos participar y pudimos visitar un orfanato y prestar servicio allí junto con nuestro recorrido habitual.

RV Tours nos brindó una experiencia memorable. Rosie fue divertida e informativa. Trabajaron duro para asegurarse de que tuviéramos la mayor cantidad de experiencias posibles en el recorrido por la ciudad. ¡El servicio fue espectacular! This was our second time using R. V. Private Tours & Taxi instead of booking through the cruise line. Again, Rene and his team did not disappoint. When planning this trip Rene would answer my emails promptly and answered all my question, and I had a lot of question. So many so I'm sure he was tired of hearing from me, but he was always, prompt, pleasant and patient with me.
After meeting up with our driver Edgar just outside the port he drove my group of 9 through Puerto Plata to the Buggy Tour destination. Along the way Edgar pointed out a few sites and answered all our question. He also, recommended a great restaurant but more on that later.
The buggy tour is a must do. It was so much fun. My family and friends had a blast. I was afraid the buggies would be slow and have no power. I was wrong they had plenty of power and were fast. I do recommend a change of clothes, change of shoes, goggles, and a mask to help breath in the dust. If you want to keep your clothes and shoes I suggest you have a wet bag to carry them in after the tour. While we played in the mud Edgar kept our personal items secure in the van.
After the buggies we were all starving. Edgar had water in the van for us and we were ready try out the restaurant he recommended, Chiringuito Bar Restaurant, right on the beach. Edgar said it was the best and freshest sea food you could get in the DR. He was not lying. The Pina Coladas were great, and the food was even better. The server brought a tray of fresh sea food to select from. You pointed out what you wanted they cooked it up. We didn't try it all but I can tell you the Sea Bass was GREAT! And I don't even like fish. Edgar was spot on in his recommendation. The 9 of us enjoyed all our various menu items while sharing with each other and knocking back a few drinks and having plenty of laughs.
After our feast Edgar took us to town for a little shopping. My family bought a few souvenirs and some handmade jewelry. I was able to get some very fine Hemingway Cigars.
We were back at port in plenty of time and everybody had a fabulous time. I also want to add that we had a very minor incident with the buggies. My 16-year-old bumped another and made a small dent. The buggy company said we had to pay but R. V.took care of it, which I was not expecting. This goes above and beyond in my opinion.
R. V. Private Tours & Taxi is top notch. Very profession and trustworthy origination. I highly recommend them for your visit to the DR whether flying there to stay or visiting for the day from a cruise ship.

Fantastic tour of damajagua falls, puerto plata downtown, and San Felipe fort from cruise ship. Edgar, tour guide, was very experienced, very fluent in English, and was really concerned about my safety and satisfaction! As a solo female traveler, this is of utmost concern to me. Arranged to get to falls early and had the experience without the crowds. Also had great experience in downtown with customized shopping experience. Was also able to see the seaside San Felipe fort with awesome views. Great day. Thanks Rene (owner) and Edgar!

Edgar (our driver) and Francisco (our tour guide) were amazing on both of the excursions that we booked! From hospitality to organization and careful chosen sites, our group had a blast! Never did we feel rushed and they even went out of their way to help us find specific items we were looking for at a cheaper price and good quality. Next time we come to Puerto Plata, we definitely plan on booking the paradise island tour with them!

We had 2 amazing tours with R. V tours while in Puerto Plata, Blue Lagune and City Tour. Highly recommending this tour company. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a blast with Francisco and Edgar. Will continue with them next time!

We had such a wonderful experience with RV private tours! Working with Rene and his team was awesome. I initially reached out to Rene to inquire about the Puerto Plata city tour for my family and I for our cruise stop in July. Rene was so quick to respond with the information that I requested and his price was very reasonable compared to the other private tours on the island. From the get go, I knew Rene and his team were going to be great to work with.
Once we got to the port, it was kind of chaotic so we weren’t sure where to go so I called Rene up right away and he guided us out of the port to meet our tour guide, Francisco and our driver, Melvin. We were greeted with welcoming smiles to get into a clean and cool van. Francisco offered us cold waters right away and pretty much ran through what the day was going to look like which I really liked. He also said to let him know if there are any changes we wanted to make because essentially this was our day and we were the boss he said. They were willing to take us wherever we wanted. We started our tour with the cable car ride up the mountain. Francisco was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of history. The view of the city from the top of the mountain was beautiful. We then went to do a rum tour at the Macorix factory. We enjoyed tasting all the different rums that they made there. The rum tour took a little longer than expected. We had asked Rene prior to the trip if we could taste some good local food for lunch and I was very pleased that he remembered that detail from our email conversations. Francisco had mentioned that the place that he wanted to take us, Como en familia, was closing soon. So we were pretty bummed out to hear that since we are foodies and really wanted to try it. Rene called the place up and they were able to wait for us to eat lunch there. Francisco pretty much ordered for us and just let us relax at the table while the ladies from the back served us with a buffet of rice, beans, plantains, veggies, salad, stewed beef and the best fried chicken we’ve ever tasted. It was a delicious meal that fed 8 people that only cost $30! We were so happy that Rene and Francisco were able to make this happen. After lunch, we continued our city tour to get some souvenirs then to the umbrella street, pink street and downtown Puerto Plata. After downtown, we stopped by the chocolate factory where they served some really yummy hot chocolate and brownies. We took some home with us. We then went to the San Felipe fort and listened to the guided tour. We headed back to the Amber Cove port with enough time to be back on the ship before 6pm.
It was such and enjoyable day with Francisco (and Melvin). Francisco made us laugh the whole day. He was very personable yet professional. He never left our side. We felt very secure walking around the town. It was a very well worth it private tour of the city. Francisco took his time showing us around and we never felt like it was rushed at all. It was a very enjoyable trip. I would definitely book with Rene and his team again if we go back to Amber Cove. Thank you for such an awesome and enjoyable day!

Rene (R. V. Private Tours) is my go to for any excursions or transportation needs I have while I am visiting in the DR. I have used him before for several of my excursions and airport transportation. Rene's prices are very reasonable, he is very professional as well as his employees. They are always on time and very accommodating. We needed to make a stop to get some groceries before heading to the resort and the driver had no problem doing so. I would highly recommend them! We had the pleasure of having Edgar as our driver for all our excursions and airport transfer, he is the bomb!

We had pre booked our tours prior to arriving to the island. After discussing details with Rene, we knew the City Tour and Paradise Island were the best fits for us.

Edgar picked us up on time from Santiago on our arrival day and had refreshments in our van to bring us to Puerto Plata. The van was spacious, comfortable, cool and had Wi-Fi.

A few days after our arrival, we toured the city with Andy as our guide and Edgar as our driver again. The tour was wonderful and we started it with a ride to the top of Mount Isabel via cable car. Andy was very knowledgeable about the entire area and knew the clouds would soon be covering the mountain so we go there just in time. We ventured all over and went to a cigar shop where they hand roll cigars, a chocolate factory with the most delicious hot chocolate and brownies, a shop to learn about Larimar and other precious stones and took a walk about to do some shopping near Umbrella street.

Our final day in Puerto Plata, Andy and Edgar took us to Paradise Island where we got to spend several hours on the most beautiful sand bar in the Atlantic. We got there nice and early before the crowds and had the entire island to ourselves for exploration and snorkeling. Following our time on the island our captain took us through the mangroves before heading back to shore for a delicious lunch. Following lunch we headed back to our resort but first made a stop for some fresh picked fruit and other goodies from the market.

We had a wonderful experience with Edgar and Andy and highly recommend RV Tours.

Excellent service, these guys know what they are doing and how to treat you. They were very puntual, profesional and friendly. Edgar the driver and Andy the tour guide took care of my family and I and made our trip to Puerto Plata an amazing experience. This is a happy group that just finished an awesome tour with Andy as our guide and Edgar as our driver from R. V. Private Tours &Taxi. We did a 5 hour city tour. After we disembarked from the ship we followed the map and instructions provided and promptly met Andy waiting for us. We headed out quickly and beat the tour busses to the aerial tram. It was a busy, fun filled day. Use R. V. Private Tours & Taxi. You will not be disappointed.

Our trip/excursion was the best day out of our vacation!
He picked us all up in a super clean and spacious vanette from our hotel lobby (6 of us in total) and we went to the exciting waterfalls.
We booked online with him before we came over to the DR.
RV Tours prices were fair and included our private transport from and back to our hotel.
The waterfalls were an awesome experience! You have to do this if you are on the north coast. The waterfall guides are excellent and we had so much fun, jumping and sliding into the falls. Its a once in a lifetime chance to experience the thrilling waterfalls!
Afterwards we had a really nice meal (and some super cold beers) at the falls and then Rene took us back to our hotel.
We also asked him to take us for a little shopping which he kindly did and we picked up some great rum at cheap local prices (cheaper than the Duty Free at the aiport! - just ask Rene to take you!)
We can't thank Rene and RV Tours enough, he was not only our driver and excursion planner he has now become a friend of the family and we can't wait to come back again to the Dominican Republic to see him and experience another part of the north coast with RV Tours!

R. V. Tours & Taxis is great. Rene would respond quickly to emails and answered all my questions in detail. It is obvious he takes pride in providing quality service and making his clients feel comfortable and confident. Our guide, Edgar, was very nice, knowledge, and personable. He explained everything well as he showed us around. I really enjoyed his recommendation for lunch, even though it was not part of our tour, it was exactly what we preferred. For our tour we purchased the 27 Water Falls Tour and absolutely loved it. Even though we only got to do a few of the falls because of the low water level we would definitely do it again. We would certainly use R. V. Tours service's again and highly recommend them to others. The van was clean and the AC was cool, and the rum was smooth. You can be confident they will take good care of you and if are on a cruise they will make sure you are back to port in plenty of time.

Rene with RV tours was amazing. He met us exactly where he said he would be on time and kept in contact. He went out of his way to make sure our family was happy and everyone was accommodated. If you are looking for an excellent tour or a great transportation in Dominican Republic, RV Private tours is the way to do it. We booked them 4 times in our last vacation Dec 2021. We did Puerto Plata tour, Blue Lagoon tour and Playa Caletas tour. All of them exceptional, they are so flexible and relax, you can adapt the tour to your needs. The neatness and excellent staff makes of each tour an unique experience that you will never forget. Wen end up using them to transport us to the airport on New Year’s Eve with less than 4 hours of notice… definitely they are there to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable…

We've gone on a variety of tours with Rene and his team, and all have been a blast. The blue lagoon tour was a favorite - it had a little bit of everything for our group. From adventure of zip lining into the deepest lagoon, to floating in the crystal blue waters, to a beautiful lunch at a local dominican restaurant. We were able to sample fresh local fruit, stop at markets along the way, and see caves and waterfalls. Ending the day relaxing at a beautiful beach was perfect.

Awesome guides that keep things fun and flexible. They made sure our experience in the DR was nothing but incredible.
