Pro Kite Cabarete Kiteboarding School

Had a great time taking lessons with Pro Kite. Damian was great at checking the conditions and making sure the lesson would be worthwhile (good wind). Carlos was a patient and very helpful instructor. If you are having trouble with something, Carlos steps you through and explains or finds a new way to approach a skill. He is super positive and fun!

Amazing experience with Pro Lite surfing Cabarete. Instructors (Carlos and Luis) are really good, they gave me a lot of advise to progress and we're really patiente. I highly recommend this school if you are in Cabarete and want to learn or progress in kitesurfing.

Special mention to Damien who was always helpful and easy to reach when planning all the lessons!

My son (13 yo) went from beginner stage to being able to stay up wind and “transition” after 4 days of lessons
I was a beginner/intermediate kiteboarder and learned to transition more efficiently, worked in jumping, and learned some foil basics (getting on foil, staying up wind, etc…)
Overall a great experience and felt safe and in good hands

We were in Cabarete at the end of May for our much needed vacation. We learned how to kite surf from Miguel (a one man operation- kite boarding school) BUT when we felt ready, we went to Pro Kite to take advantage of their “supervision package” this was IDEAL! We knew enough that we wanted to just get out on the water. The service Pro Kite provided was the perfect solution. You get all your gear. Harness, kite etc. AND someone that stays on the beach and watches you. They rig up your kite, pass it over to you and keep a close eye while you surf. We were so new we would end up at the end of the beach (trust me - you will know what I mean when you try) and we couldn’t get back via kite surfing. So their awesome staff member will take your kite and board and surf it back to the start. You meet them there and then you’re off again. This MAXIMIZES your hourly rental big time. The owner Damian is beyond passionate about this sport (he’s also suuuuuper awesome at it) and we felt like we were in experienced and trusted hands the whole time. We will be back to Cabarete to kite surf and Pro Kite will be our first stop. If I could give more stars I would.

My wife just did a whole week of training and lessons. We are extremely happy with our choice of school. Pro kite surfing Cabarete is a professional, knowledgeable and experienced school. Instructor was attentive and helpful. Thank you for getting my wife to kite and learn from you guys.

Damien a vraiment ete tres accueillant, toujours disponible et a l'ecoute. Il m'a mis entre les mains d'un tres bon professeur qui m'a rapidement mis en confiance et fait progresser en peu de temps. Une tres bonne ambiance generale qui vous donne envie de revenir rider. A bientot!

Damien always tried to find a good wind time for us, good coach, price is reasonable including all gears. My daughter took five 1.5hr lessons and learned the basic kite boarding. It is a good place to learn!

During my stay in Cabarete I did a three day beginner course (6 hours) with Damien. I enjoyed every minute of it. After four hours I was able to do some waterstarts and even a small ride (!) Couldn’t be more happy. Damien is such an enthusiastic and very patient teacher. Very easy to communicate with. He knows exactly what he is doing and is very professional but at the same time always in for a joke and a laugh. Would really recommend to everyone who wants to learn kiteboarding but also wants to have a great day!

This was the perfect Kite surfing school for me! From the start the owner was very communicative and professional answering all of my questions before arrival. Response was fast and helpful. I started with a course and within a day or 2 I was riding and going. My teacher was Carlos with lots of experience patience and amazing adjusting points to help improve. I prefer this type of school where it is attentive to your progression and improvements. The radio communication is the best so you can keep getting instructions and help
and the great feeling of being looked after.

We had four days of lessons and had a blast we would definitely come back for advanced lessons. Damian and Bart had amazing pointers and were so helpful and cool guys! The radios are also a super helpful tool to get instant feedback while you are riding. Lisa was also an angel she was on the beach helping and hanging out and she recommended a wonderful restaurant for my birthday that her friends owned. We brought our own gear to the DR but we checked out the shop and they high quality gear and all sorts of boards! I definitely recommend this kite school if your a beginner or advanced rider looking for pointers to improve your game. Damian is definitely a ripper when it comes to kite boarding. I took three two hour lessons to refresh my kiting and used an assistant for the last two days to focus on my new skills and goals. The assistant I had was super helpful and nice. I would highly recommend this kite school and cabarete is definitely a nice place to kite! Ten out of ten!

Damien a fait un super boulot avec les enfants. Son système radio pour passer les conseils une fois dans l'eau leur a permis de progresser de manière rapide et safe. Ensuite, le petit conseil technique de retour sur la plage est tjs nickel pour se corriger.
Il met en plus du matériel toujours au top et est accompagné d'une équipe de gars compétente, sympa et pro.
Je recommande.

Kitesurfer avec Damien pour une seconde fois était une expérience géniale. Pour cause, Damien vous encadre, vous donnant des conseils pour progresser, le Matos est de super bonne qualité et le spot est génial. C’est une expérience à renouveler et je vous encourage à aller chez Damien.

J'ai pris un cours avec Damien, qui m'a donné de bons conseils pour progresser (ça compte! Certains profs de kite se contentent de vous mettre à l'eau). J'ai particulièrement apprécié le système de talkie-walkie sur le casque, qui lui permettait de me donner des conseils "au coeur de l'action", et la bouée sur la planche, qui permet de la retrouver et récupérer facilement.

Ma copine, qui a un meilleur niveau, a fait une séance en location, et était très satisfaite aussi. C'est sympa d'avoir la demi-journée illimitée pour la location.

I took a class with Damien, whose pedagogy awarded me some good progress (and such pedagogy matters! Some other kitesurfing teachers won't go much beyond putting you in the water.) The radio-on-helmet system was especially helpful, enabling him to provide guidance right in the action; likewise, the boards have colourful floaters that make them easy to spot and retrieve.

My more-advanced girlfriend simply rented the equipment, and was quite happy with the result. It's nice to have the equipment for a whole half-day when renting.

Un lugar ideal para aprender este maravilloso deporte, Kitesurf. Los profesores son personas súper simpáticas, explican fenomenal trancando de que entiendas todo paso a paso, Además hay que resaltar que siempre están pendiente para cuidarte en todo momento. La verdad que he tenido una experiencia estupenda por lo cual cualquier persona que le interese aprender el deporte le recomiendo este sitio.

Il oriente vers des prestations en fonction du niveau et du budget. Nous sentons vraiment quelqu'un qui sait de quoi il parle et Très professionnel! Il sait adapter les prestations à chaque personne! Et très abordable niveau rapport qualité prix!
