I was bitten by one of the dogs. It wasn’t a friendly bite. It was a vicious bite done completely unprompted. It broke the skin and caused bleeding. I was simply walking to my room when the dog attacked from behind. I had hoped the dog would be put away for the remainder of my stay, but it was not. Fortunately, I had begun carrying a stick with me when leaving the room because it charged again the next day. Had it not been for my threatening the dog with a large tree branch it would’ve bitten again.

Some people have dogs that bite, some people own public hotels. You can’t have both. What terrified me as much as the possibility of the dog biting my wife was that the staff chose to do nothing with the dog after the initial attack.

Lovely stay here, highlight of Cabarete visit. Owner was very friendly and conversational and it's a really nice family-owned business vibe. Welcomed and set me up with everything immediately upon arrival. Room nothing too fancy, very spacious and clean and good value for price. In the morning they had a variety of breakfast options, reasonably priced, delicious. The property is pretty cool, they have several different buildings and types of rooms. Highly recommend.

Todo muy bien, personal súper atentos. Cerca de la playa para hacer surf. Aparcamiento privado. He disfrutado mucho en mi estancia. Si algún día vuelvo por lo zona no dudaría de volver a reservar con ellos.

Fui mordido por uno de los perros. No fue un bocado amistoso. Fue un mordisco vicioso hecho completamente sin previo aviso. Rompió la piel y causó sangrado. Simplemente estaba caminando hacia mi habitación cuando el perro me atacó por detrás. Esperaba que el perro fuera encerrado por el resto de mi estadía, pero no fue así. Afortunadamente, había comenzado a llevar un palo conmigo al salir de la habitación porque se volvió a cargar al día siguiente. Si no hubiera sido por haber amenazado al perro con una gran rama de árbol, habría vuelto a morder.

Algunas personas tienen perros que muerden, otras son dueñas de hoteles públicos. No puedes tener ambos. Lo que me aterrorizaba tanto como la posibilidad de que el perro mordiera a mi esposa era que el personal decidió no hacer nada con el perro después del ataque inicial.

Encantadora estancia aquí, lo más destacado de la visita a Cabarete. El propietario fue muy amable y conversador, y es un ambiente de negocio familiar realmente agradable. Me dieron la bienvenida y me prepararon todo inmediatamente después de mi llegada. Habitación nada especial, muy espaciosa y limpia y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Por la mañana tenían una variedad de opciones de desayuno, a precios razonables y deliciosos. La propiedad es bastante buena, tienen varios edificios y tipos de habitaciones diferentes. Altamente recomendado.

Sencillas habitaciones en un complejo cerca de la carretera. Cuenta con un amplio jardín y una pequeña piscina. Los dueños son muy agradables y hacen que te sientas como en casa. Es necesario tener coche para alojarse allí con libertad de movimientos.

Si pudiera dar un 100 lo daría, te hacen sentir en casa y la atención es increíble. Una experiencia única y la atención inigualable!

Beautiful, rooms are much nicer than on the pictures. Lovely family and very peaceful place. Drinks are offered at fair rates. Highly recommend this place, easy to get to Carbarete or sosua by colectivos

Amazing, loved my stay here. All the staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. There's a big backyard, a pool, it's in between Sosua and Cabarete and not much around so bring some food or whatever you need if you can. The beach nearby is amazing, not crowded, not for swimming though. Highly recommend it, would come back anytime. I was supposed to be there for a night and almost stayed a week.

We stayed at Gipsy ranch and felt welcome from day one. There is a big green area and a nice pool to relax into. They are super helpful family with everything.

The place is 5 mins away only from cabarete center and kite beach
The place has an amazing swimming pool and also serves very affordable and yummy food
Definitely would recommend to anyone

We stayed at Gipsy Ranch for almost 2 weeks. It was super friendly and cosy, totally opposed to all 'fussy' places in Sosua. Cindy is a host who really cares about your comfort and keeping the right standard in terms of rooms' cleanliness. We've been working remotely and Internet connection was pretty fine.

And dogs, dogs, dogs:)

Definitely the best quality-price ration in Encuentro/Sosua/Cabarete.

Cindy and her family were super accommodating and very helpful with literally anything! The rooms are a good place to stay and the pool is lovely. Thanks for everything!

Es un hermoso y excelente lugar, familiarizado con la naturaleza, precios muy baratos y se es recibido con mucha calidez.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con Cindy y su familia que son personas muy agradables. La madre de cindy cocina muy buena cocina dominicana comimos bien, el aderezo de la ensalada muy rico, y bebimos jugo de mango de temporada. Es un lugar ideal con un patio grande y habitaciones para quedarte cómodamente por unos días. Pude comprar también unas matas de moringa. Gracias por todo Cindy!

This is definitely a nice place to stay. The pool is nice and cold the area is large filled with beautiful fruit trees. And above all the owner her daughter husband and children are beautiful people. My stay here was excellent and I will return here every time I visit.

Cindy es muy servicial, atenta con todos los detalles para hacerme sentir súper bien. La habitación es muy buena, cerca de playa ‍️, todo lo básico para una buena experiencia.

Great staffing and the dogs are very welcoming. As a pet owner visiting from the states is nice to have some time with 4 legged friends.
