Precioso lugar y nos lo pasamos genial! Nikki fue una excelente anfitriona que realmente nos hizo sentir como en casa. Los desayunos eran diferentes cada día y ¡TAN deliciosos! El espacio estaba muy bien cuidado y muy cerca de varias playas (una a la que puedes caminar y otras a poca distancia en auto). También hicimos buceo y snorkel durante nuestra estancia aquí y ambos fueron maravillosos.

Todo estaba impecablemente limpio, perfectamente mantenido, extremadamente cómodo, acogedor y bien decorado, desde el bar de la cabaña hasta las mascotas de la casa.

Nikki, Sandra y su familia fueron unos anfitriones fantásticos que nos cuidaron como a una familia.

Spring Break for family of four and we enjoyed our time (5days/4nts) at Garden By the Sea. Nikki, the host and her staff were amazing! Nikki was attentive, responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed (beach towels & beach chairs). We rented a car to explore the island but there’s a beach within walking distance from the hotel and our kids enjoyed the pool on-site. Bella, the dog was a surprise and we fell in love with her. The morning breakfasts were delicious and we are looking forward to our next visit. If you want a small, quiet and quaint place to stay in Sosua, be sure to check out Garden by the Sea!

It's a well located, tiny beautiful hotel. It was a great experience. Nikki puts a lot of effort yo make you feel Home.

There is so much positive about this place. The hostess is amazing and very organized. Location 5 minutes to sosua and 10 to cabarette and also 2 minute walk to beautiful beach ️. Housekeeping of this spot is top notch. The breakfast offered is always welcome in my stomach. Hope to be there soon again, thus would make it the 4th stay.

Sooo welcoming and comfortable. It’s clean and water filtration it’s a plus. I recommend for backpackers, for couples, for solo travelers. I enjoyed it.

Tan amable y cómodo. Es limpio y la filtración de agua es una ventaja. Lo recomiendo para mochileros, para parejas, para viajeros solos. Me gustó mucho.

CONSTRUCTION ZONE (March 2022). This is a lovely little series of rooms around a pool. It is tucked into a gated development that provides a decent sense of security. The rooms were very well done. You can see that the owner really cared about doing it right. The staff are friendly, helpful, and quite thorough with cleaning. Normally this would be a 5-star, but their "relax & enjoy" theme is hard to live when there is noise from dusk to dawn from the next door construction. Even with earplugs in and all windows closed, I was woken up in the morning with the banging of construction. And, that same noise made the pool area an unattractive destination. Their staff is amazing, but I never understood why they'd jump into cleaning the area just outside of my room at 8am. I guess they assume that everyone sleeps fixed hours, despite vacation status and the time zone in which one resides. Sliding doors and windows were not sound dampening, letting the noise come in without obstacle. I would've appreciated a construction warning on their website to give me notice of what I was stepping into. Otherwise, it is a very nice little place and a good value.

This is a lovely place to spend some relaxation time and yet close to everything! Steps from the beach. The pool was perfect. Very clean and neat and the host is always available if you need help.

I have been to the DR. This is a hidden jewel. Extremely clean, outside bar and grill, peaceful, pool and jacuzzi. To top it off Nikki is an outstanding hostess! This place has personality and style. I will be back here on my next visit

Me encanta el lugar, bien acogedor, sencillo pero delicado, la dueña todo un amor, la playa que esta cerca es playa laguna, privada y hermosa, super recomendado

The homey ambiance made us just want to stay here and lounge at the pool all day. Haha! Hammocks are also all over the place and the barbecue area made everything perfect. We loved it!

We stayed here last November 2018 but unfortunately wasn't able to put a review.

Fantastic stay at this small hotel. Large comfortable rooms, great wifi, superbly maintained grounds and amazing host. Don't hesitate, book!

We stayed two nights in this little heavenly place and everything was just perfect!
The location is so nice and calm, the beach is at a walking distance, the pool is always clean, the rooms are very comfortable, the garden is beautiful and well taken care of, but most importantly the host is the best one can hope for, she was super helpful, always available for all our questions or requests and very kind.
If I'm ever traveling here again, I would definitely come back here.

Dream job of the American owner. How cool is that? ! I would love to do something like that if I could. Great place. Super comfortable. Has everything you need. Great modern furniture and decor. (No breakfast because of Covid, but I guess that's to be expected here and there.) Highly recommend!

A fantastic experience! The owner, Nicki, was very kind and helpful throughout the whole stay. So good we stayed another night. Very clean and cosy. We will definitely be coming back for the next visit.

Everything You Expect from start to finish!

Nikki was magnificent from the very beginning and not just to me but everyone in my family (Group of 14) Nikki I won’t say it enough THANK YOU for your very kind and warm hospitality.

If you are looking for a piece of heaven on Earth this is the place located in Sosua, Puerto Plata Dominican Republic. Nikki greeted us with a big smile and showed us to our rooms, after a long day of activities with the family we wanted to forget about the crowds and enjoy some quality time.

The Beach was just the right thing to do at the moment and OH MAN! What a BEACH see below (literally 3-5 minutes walk)

After swimming for a few hours, we returned and got in the POOL, temperature was just perfect,

WiFi is fast and stable, Rooms are spotless and overall the property is well maintained. Garden by the Sea has just become my favorite spot in Puerto Plata. I strongly recommend it.

What can I say about Garden by the sea. I Came to the DR to participate in a medical mission trip in January and had the pleasure of staying here for 7 nights. First impression was that the facility was VERY clean and very well maintained. The pool and tub were beautiful, the yard and trees were very well maintained and the building had a very warm and inviting design. Nikki, the owner, greeted us with a warm welcome on arrival and hugs on departure. The rooms were very pretty and we'll taken care of, the beds were soft, and water warm. In the morning Nikki's staff cooked us an amazing breakfast, soooo much food, I would recommend eating there. The B&B is also within 5 mins walking of the beach, which btw was beautiful and always sparsely populated when we were there. Last but definitely not least was the amazing director of guest relations, Linda (her dog). If you are looking for a beautiful, quite, family friendly B&B then look no further, you will NOT find a better place than Garden by the sea. P.s. Find Wilson's bar and restaurant if you can.
