Flamingo Jungle

Best experience ever! If you love tranquility this is your place. It has amazing areas, everything you need for a writing, retreat, filming getaway. I stayed for a few days for the filing of my music video and I really need to go back. The host is great, the accommodations, the cabins, everything is above and beyond! Don't think about it and book this place now!

There is lots of natural beauty in the DR, but Flamingo Jungle is also unique. Many people rescue cats and dogs. Flamingo Jungle is a place for rescued flamingos.and now, a safe haven for them.

But there is more. Flamingo Jungle is carved out of a mountain top. You immediately feel the peace and tranquility, and clean air, yet have the amenities of a swimming pool, beautiful, rustic cabins to enjoy, and an ocean view that takes your breath away. It's a great place to stay by yourself as a retreat, celebrate a special event with your friends and family, or have an intimate, private, romantic holiday. You will not be disappointed for whatever reason you visit.

Beautiful and serene atmosphere. My 6yr old daughter visited with me and she was absolutely at one with nature. They are looked after very well in a humane and safe environment. For those looking for a special experience with children, and a humane atmosphere, Flamingo Jungle is it. Deborah is a very special person and I enjoyed my afternoon. Thank you!

Flamingo jungle is a unique find on the North Coast.

The setting is stunning. You are treated to an unobstructed view of the Atlantic, as well as the imposing silhouette of Mount Isabel.

My favourite time is sunset. Watching the sun descend behind the mountain while it shimmers on the ocean. If the light is right, the sky actually turns rose gold!
It is truly inspiring.

The property and grounds are lovingly restored and maintained by Deborah and her daughter.

The place has all the ecological variety of the Dominican Republic. Organic tropical fruits, flowers, and trees.

However this is not a run of the mill eco lodge!

Deborah and Jamie have brought Californian style to the place!

The huge infinity pool is flanked either side by palm trees and and surrounded by classy, comfortable lounge chairs. I thought I had returned to old time Hollywood Glamour!

The cabins have been refurbished and tastefully decorated. They come with every creature comfort. Including hot water, great showers, coffee machine, super comfortable beds. There are two cabins, identical except for accent colour. One theme is blue the other orange.

I really enjoyed the blue cabin's balcony. The view is almost panoramic and yet also private and not overlooked.

Deborah is a wonderful host and encourages visitors to explore the extensive grounds. There are several nooks or 'secret' garden sections. I enjoyed following the path to the shade of a big tree and just sitting quietly. It was peaceful and healing.

I also enjoyed sitting in one of the fabulous flamingo swing chairs and chatting with a friend.

In summary, the best part of Flamingo jungle is it's eclectic and inspiring environment.

You can get back to nature or enjoy a bit of glamour - whatever inspires!

Serenity is the best word to describe this beautiful retreat center. Sweeping ocean views, tropical fruit trees and gardens, and infinity pool are just a few of the attributes that make this property special. The setting is perfect to find one’s inspiration for completing a writing project or to simply escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All of my senses are awakened here. The sound of the tropical birds, the garden and ocean views, the taste of the sweet fruit from the trees, and the feel of the breeze on the skin makes me feel truly alive and at peace at the same time. Deborah is an extraordinary host who makes her guests feel right at home. Her positive attitude and warm heart enhance the mood of this tropical paradise.

Flamingo Jungle is nice place to stay. It is very tranquil place. You wake up in the cabin with the birds twirping in the morning. The cabins are great for vacation retreats and the ocean views are amazing.
