Fifi Jewelry and Cigar Store

Be weary of this store. They are rip-off’s to the first degree. They lie and say one amount and charge you over two hundred times more. They lie and say they are reputable, do not believe them. Their gold is hollow and their stones are fake. Their silver is the poorest quality.

Overcharged by $500. Handwritten receipt said 16000 DP and I was charged 47000 DP. Do not go here. Also silver used is less than 50%. Had a metallurgic test run. If you go to the cigar factory, bring cash so you don't need to go here to have your credit card run.

I love the selection here and it’s where I bring all my visitors when they want a good deal. Some of the most unique pieces of larimar and amber I have seen! Talk to Fifi and she will help you within your budget!

Got my girlfriends watch adjusted there. Locals say its the place to for repairs and to buy watches.

Good shop! The staff gives zero pressure to buy things, which makes the experience even better. They made me taste an excellent cigar for free, which ultimately made me buy one.

I can't say anything about them being scam artist because once Hector took me back into the HUGE humidor room and saw and smoked a wide variety of cigars that was all I needed. They tried with the high prices initially but I'm not new to the game and I'm from Newark "Brick City" NJ so it wasn't gonna be none of that son knoii mean. If I'm ever over there again I'd definitely revisit to grab some more cigars and keep on kickin.

This place is a tourist trap that pays driver's a kickback to bring you here. I watched them even try and steal clients from other stores. Prices are also atrocious. The guide offered me a terrible cigar that he said was a month old and offered a tour of a filthy, non-controlled humidor. When he couldn't provide more information he got frustrated, offered another free cigar, and then tried to charge 6 times the going rate for cigars. The whole experience was filthy and low class.

The cigars that are hand made are garbage, the Cuban cigars they offer are very well disguised fakes, but they’re fake. Avoid this place.

I visited this cigar shop and the sale man was very pushy. I'm a beginner at smoking and buying cigars and I was talked into buying a box of cohibas esplendidos that I now find out were fake. Do not go to this cigar shop, Do not buy their cigars. DO NOT GO THERE!

The people here are scam artists. Tried to charge me an extra 1,000 pesos for jewelry then lie about it. They give you alcohol and cigars then try to get over on you. Then the cigar guy tried to lie and tell me it was a separate store and to buy his cigars. There are much better tourists stores to visit.

Pushy people from the moment you walk in. I bought a Larimar ring that was supposed to be silver but has since turned my finger green now that i'm home.

We purchased a stones for earrings from this store and the lady at the counter told us, that it will take a while to make a earrings.
She told us to come back in one hour time, to get the earrings and when we came, they gave us a earrings, with a much smaller stones, not the stones we have paid for.

Great store with a nice jewelry and cigar selection. Overall experience was nice, but beware if you pay with a credit card. They have passed the transactions as a cash advance, which means I have been charged an additional fee. I also had to pay interest. Very dishonest in my opinion but he probably knew we'd only find out once we were back home, thousands of kilometers away.

Amazing. Hand rolled cigars. Factory on site. See the rollers creating great cigars all sizes and even samples were given to try from each cigar roller. The prices were just right. Very friendly atmosphere. A must visit while in the D. R.

This store has fantastic cigars rolled by hand sold under their house brand Monsenor de Puerto Plata. The gentleman who makes them is worked for Davidoff for years. This store is a destination for you if you are visiting Puerto Plata.

Visited this store back in 2015 and revisited yesterday. The cigar store is inside of Fifi's jewelry. The guy you want to ask for in there is Hector, he'll offer you anything under the sun because he knows once you try it you'll want to buy, and he's right. Got a great deal on 50 cigars to bring home and a bunch more to smoke while I'm in the DR.

They also recently expanded into a warehouse space down the street a little bit. Don't be nervous when he asks you to follow him over there it's only a 30 second walk, the photos I put up are inside the warehouse area.
