DRListings Laguna Beach Vacation Rentals

The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because of the location of the Villa near the beach and the pool. I booked the Ocean View Villa from Nov 20 to the 24. I invited my elderly parents DR to drive up and stay with my girlfriend and I. As soon as we arrived we were taking to BayRock complex, second floor Villa. I immediately informed the gentlemen that I booked an Ocean view villa. He contacted Jary at DRListings and he came to greet us within minutes. He informed me that there was a booking error and the Villa I paid for was no longer available. If you can imagine I was infuriated. The solution offered was the Villa they reassigned me too and reduce the price because it wasn’t ocean view, beachfront, pool front, etc. I told them this was unacceptable and they needed to place me in a Villa I paid for. I contacted David Logan his boss, and after an hour or so they said they had a possible solution. A Villa that was ocean view etc next to the original villa I booked but it was about 75% completed. Meaning that they were in the middle of a make over to make it acceptable to rent and charge clients what I paid for. Long story short there was no ac in the living room, bedding and towels were beyond used and off white, no water cooler, no cable, no internet, bare bones furniture. They resolved cable issue, internet access but no assistance with really making this experience closer to the top notch Villa I was originally booked in. That being said the view and access to pool and beach worked out since my parents are elderly. I expected a reasonable discount for their errors but was offered $50 and possible free nights if I booked with them in the future. I told them this was unacceptable and after reading other reviews it seems like they make a habit from overbooking their best villa and the family that stays longest (maximize profit) eventually gets that Villa in hopes that the next family will “understand” that their was an error and that another Villa (not ocean front, in a completely different complex) will be acceptable at the reduced rates. I’d never book again with David Logan or DRListings. Even if it were an honest mistake and the Villa was 75% presentable to clients then guess what? It should be priced at 75% of the original cost. Makes simple sense to me.

Working with David and his team at DRListings was the highlight of my trip - well, actually the place I stayed at Escondido Bay was the real highlight. It was modern, clean, center view on the ocean, and decorated with white - making the space feel very fresh.

We had once small challenge (related to WiFi) which David and his staff addressed perfectly. For the very brief time we were offline, he gave me excellent alternatives. It is said that you know the real quality of customer service when something doesn't go to plan. David and his staff are top shelf.

Thanks for the beautiful place to stay in while I was on my work-ation! Thank you for your ongoing support in preparation for my return trips to the DR. Beautiful breathtaking ocean get away with a staff that provides awesome hospitality and customer service!

This property was all that we expected and more, It has being the most perfect vacation ever that i have had. David Logan was always there for our needs, definitely recommend it and will be back again.

This place is really top notch. A great weekend hanging out with family and good friends was just made more perfect by the location. The apartment we were in, i guess better then any hotel we have ever stayed in. My kids were so happy and the restaurant, Gym and pools were incredible. Beyond resort experience. I loved it!

I was impressed not only by the modernity and beauty of this awesome place but equally so of the management. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Great people, great place, and just a super great experience! Thank you and see you next time!

If you need vacation rentals in the Sosua or Cabarete area, DRListings is the way to go. They have many upscale properties in the area. I dealt directly with David but the other office staff spoke English and were very attentive when we had small issues come up. We rented a 2 bedroom condo at Ocean Village which was a perfect location in a gated community just outside of Sosua. David even supplied us with a rental car as Sosua is easy to navigate. Great villa very luxurious huge rooms with pool close to the beach of Sosua. I had the pleasure of being helped by Maribel she went above and beyond for me. Met us at the villa showed us around. Over all a great experience I will definitely rent again from Maribel and this airbnb. Definitely worth the five star review.

I live in the DR, and there are not many great places to choose from.
So, having found this, i was amazed by how amazing this place is. The apartments (we rented 3) were impeccable, as well as comfortable beds, furniture, Air conditioner even in the living room! The amenties, pool and restaurant were just amazing to hang out in all day. And, so romantic the small private little beach! Our families new favorite place!
