Bologna / Amarone

This restaurant has been nicely appointed with esthetic improvements but my cocktail ("Bloody Mari") was weak and completely lacking flavor of any kind. I fixed it myself in order to drink it. My pechuga bologna was a smaller portion than expected and not very flavorful. Creme Brulee was correctly rendered and delicious. Others at our table had a pizza with under-cooked sausage and another had a mojito that was almost TOO strong to drink ironically. Prices were such that this restaurant provided an "okay" experience. Service was good and food delivery turn-around time was completely acceptable.

I am a hotel and restaurant owner in the Mediterranean, been to culinary school and have dined in various places over my life time ranging from Michelin star restaurants all the way to street food vendors all over the world. Places are judged by taking into consideration price quality and service, basically if you get what you pay for (value for money).
I had always been eating at La Margaritas just nextdoor and thought I would go to Bologna for a change.
We ordered a pizza, Cesar salad and a Ravioli with ricotta cheese and walnut sauce.
To start with two tables arrived after us and got served before us. When I told the waiter he told me to wait for a few minutes and he didn’t look impressed. Then when I took a mouth full of the Cesar salad it was as if someone had dropped 1/2 lb of salt in it, the pizza had so much tomato topping under the cheese that it was floating in it.
Now let’s get to the ravioli, it was suppose to come with walnut sauce but it came with tomato sauce so I had to send it back! Once again as soon as I pointed out the mistake I could see that he had realized but failed to say something hopping It would just be eaten and no one would say anything. In all fairness I must say the taste of the ravioli was good though.
Now to top all of this of when I asked for the bill I paid for it by card.
The waiter then proceeded to lean over and tell me that it was ok and he will have his TIP in cash.
In the Dominican Republic you only tip if you are happy with the service.
Well people make your own mind up on weather you would dine there or not, but for me never again.

Excellent service. Amazing food. Brick fire oven pizza. If you stop by order the Paella, you won't be disappointed.

USA. Ordered the meat lover pizza and it was huge! Good too. Also got the fettuccine Bologna. Also, very good! Poor service though.seems to be a thing here. Waiters hardly check in on you. They didn’t bring our smoothie until we were basically done with our food after asking multiple times.

La comida es excelente y las atenciones también. Me encantó la pasta de mariscos en salsa de vino blanco. Los camareros son muy amables. La comida es de alta calidad a precio asequible. Lo recomiendo 100%

We have always received 1st rate attention at Bologna's, the food is excellent and cocktails (2 for1) are served 5 to 8. I wish to congratulate them on the wonderful celebration of the carnaval on Saturday February 16 it was just marvelous and all 12 of us had a great time

I've enjoyed every meal I've had at this restaurant. Today was special as Bologna hosted participants of Sosua carnival. Very colorful as they headed for casa Marina hotel down the road

I order from them a lot in the past. 2 hours the delivery di not come after the said 1 hour, not my first time of misery.was at the bar once, nobody cared. Ok food.the service has been a disaster for the last 3 months.why waste your tjme.waterfront is the best in town.better food.better service!

La comida del 31 de diciembre malísima.parte de la comida saladas.también volví al siguiente día y lo que pedimos mi esposó y yo estaba crudo. Aparte de eso a los empleados parece que no le pagan un buen sueldo, tienen como actitud, tienen que capacitarlos mejor. Te tratan como si le esta pidiendo la comida gratis.

Yo soy amante de las pastas y está realmente me encantó y la cazuela de mariscos muuuuy buena también

Very good food. High value ingredients. Good cook. We were there several times. The service is good in English, too. Good service overall. On the picture we ordered with cream sauce, ham and mushrooms. The cream was very delicious. The other one was with spinach, olives, onion and feta cheese. Excellent! The crust of both are very good and you can taste the special Italian pizza oven. There are plenty events, even Holiday events with special menus and buffets. Very good and all good prices.

Very large selection of menu. Food quality was average. I had pene pasta. May be it was the item I chose. Service was very slow.

Excelente área bajo aire acondicionado, perfecta para reuniones de negocios o simplemente pasar un rato tranquilo y disfrutar de un buen plato.
Recomiendo especialmente los filetes de res al grill, pues tienen la perfecta cocción, tiernos cortes de carne y un magnífico sabor.

Ordené por teléfono. Fueron muy buenas las atenciones tanto por la joven que me cobró como por la persona que me atendió en el bar.

Excelente restaurant me encantó bendiciones para todo el personal que labora en el local y a sus administradores

Bologna Ristorante does justice to Italian cuisine. The Spaghetti con Polpette is lovely. Free fast delivery to local Hotels. Highly recommended! I hope soon to try the Club Sandwich.

Great pizza, good prices, nice ambience. Menus in English and Spanish. We eat here or get a pizza to go about 2x per month. (Thursdays you can get a 2 topping pizza for $200 pesos that feeds 2-3 people.) On one of our visits, our group included Dominicans, Italians, Americans, and an Argentinian. All were very happy with their meals. I was pleased that Bologna could satisfy both local and international tastes.
