Every day they catch the food in the sea. Like Wilson the owner said from the ocean to the kitchen.wonderful service, strong drinks, the food is fantastic.it's a hidden gem.the only way to get there is by boat once you get to the end of the road neat the river. $$ tip them good they deserve it.i give about 1100 RD about $20 US.

This place is a hidden gem. A must visit for those in the area. You take a short boat ride to the restaraunt which was already unique on its own. The food is incredible. We got a full platter of langosta, crab, and fish with rice beans and salad. We asked to see the kitchen which they allowed, and everything was cooked over open wood fire which was also unique. Definitely brings out the flavor of the seafood. I love this rustic local restaraunt, wish I had more time to come back

Aquí ofrecen la experiencia de navegar en bote por el cauce de un río para llegar a un rústico y modesto restaurante de playa cuyo principal atractivo es que se encuentra donde desemboca esta fuente acuífera. Tienen un menú limitado (no apto para personas con dietas especiales tales como vegetarianos y/o veganos) que incluye pescado (mero), mariscos (langostinos y camarones), pollo acompañados por frito de plátano, de batata y de berenjena con porciones de buenos tamaños y precios intermedios (ni baratísimo, ni especialmente caro). Aunque hay múltiples oportunidades de mejora, el lugar es tan agradable que se te pasa. Es excelente para ir con la familia y amistades.

La comida es muy buena. Pero no tiene un buen lugar donde lavarse las manos. Uno se las puede lavar, pero no es el mejor método.

Atenciones muy buena, una paisaje hermoso y los pescados fritos son incomparables. Los propietarios son excelentes anfitriones.

This was one of the greatest dining experiences I have ever had. It's definitely off the beaten path but the journey is so worth it. You need an off road vehicle, SUV, or motorcycle to get to the point where you can take a boat across the river to the restaurant, along with someone who has experience getting around on the island willing to take you there because you cannot really rely on GPS once you get going. The boat ride is serene. Gorgeous scenery throughout and the restaurant is secluded and overlooks the water.

The parrotfish I had was very good, not spectacular, but I would definitely return and try the other dishes. That cocktail in the pineapple in all the pics isn't very good but, easy solution: shots. I cannot say I have any "food memory" of this restaurant - the food is very typical and done well. The staff were lovely and warm. Overall, the experience was unforgettable and I cannot wait to return. I recommend this restaurant and experience to everyone.

Wonderful and private spot. It feels like a journey to get there w/ bumpy roads and having to take a boat over to the restaurant but its worth the journey, great food and the owner Wilson is very welcoming.

First few visits were the best. At the end of a sandy road you catch a shuttle boat that takes you across the river to Wilson's Bar. There use to be kite surfers that have now been replaced by water crafts speeding back and forth in front of Wilson's. It definitely changes the atmosphere but if you haven't been here before probably worth the visit. Good fish dinner and the Pina coladas are perfect. Love the location.

So nice place, good people delicious food OMG I love it! The best partys on Halloween. You have to cross the river but also you can take you car there from bihind. You can kite or rent jetsky. Explore the area and be so relax.

Wilson's is a must! From the boat ride over to the atmosphere and delicious fresh seafood, it was a great experience

Maravilloso lugar, una area al lado del mar y de la desembocadura del rio, muy relajante u natural.

This place scams tourists, especially at night time. There is a small after party in the night where the restaurant is and, as everyone knows, in order to get to the restaurant/ party, it's a quick 2minute boat ride across a small, uninspiring lagoon. Well, at night they try to charge up to 1,000 Dominican peso to get across. All Dominicans are getting across for free. We negotiated down to finally paying 500 Dominican Peso for 2 people. When we got across we asked many Dominicans and they said they paid nothing. The tourist all paid between 500 - 1000 per person. SCAM

Wilson's bar and restaurant is a very nice place in the river mouth near Cabarete. When you arrive with a car you have to take a speedboat to go to the other side of the river. There you find a small building that serves a the kitchen were they prepare fresh caught fish and other see food. Outside is full with tables. Some with a palm roof. Others open air. Bring swimming gear. And enjoy the rest and beauty of this place.

A secret address you don’t want to share, the simplicity at its best, delicious food, adorable staff. A little jewel. Don’t expect anything fancy, they don’t even have running water.

Very authentic Dominican local restaurant. Foreigners are welcome, Food was great, no menu, prices made on the spot when you pay. Be careful, if you feel your bill is too high they apologize and tell you this was the wrong receipt. It happened to me and friends of ours. Especially when you drink and having a good time.
